The food bank co-organized by NTTU and Taitung County Government ( https://foodbank.nttu.edu.tw/ (opens in a new window) ) assisted in pooling sources of all parties to donate materials to vulnerable families in Taitung County. The picture above is the homepage of the official website. The County Government of Taitung and the school jointly organized this program to assist disadvantaged families or people in Taitung County. Citizens can contact social welfare, education, medical, judicial and police networks of Taitung County, so that the county government can evaluate or provide referrals, and the Goods (Food) Bank can provide daily necessities after online registration.

Disadvantaged families or people include:

1. Those who have suffered major accidents;
2. Single-parent or grandparenting families;
3. Financially disadvantaged households that do not receive government subsidies;
4. Low-income or low-/middle-income households that do not have enough support for daily living;
5. Other disadvantaged people or families who need assistance after assessment.
