Farmers' market on campus
Since March 17, 2020, NTTU has launched a farmer’s fair on the main campus where students could pick up the local, seasonal, high-quality home-grown and self-marketed fruits (left picture). The principal came to the farmer fair to learn about the market operation (middle picture). Interactions between the students and the certified organic farmers at the market (right picture).

In order to improve the health of students, the school supports the local agricultural economy and promotes the concept of sustainable farmland to reduce the carbon footprint of agricultural food. The efforts establish a connection with the local communities, create the school's farmers’ market, as well as carefully select farmers who produce and sell locally, allowing them to bring their fresh and high-quality agricultural products to school.
-
Launched on March 17, 2020, the farmers' market is open from 11am to 2pm every Tuesday. Fruits locally produced by farmers are available at the courtyard outside the #2 student cafeteria on campus and are welcomed by all students.
-
Agricultural product name, origin and unit price are labeled, encouraging students to learn more about the food they eat and establish connection with local community.
-
Farmers at the market also provide the school with great teaching and research resources, as it is a good place to learn for the Earth Week.
