Interdisciplinary Learning and Community Service of Green International Universities
By integrating the university and the LOHAS industry, the NTTU Green Knowledge Economy (GKE) innovation platform for achievement transformation was demonstrated to advance integrative and interdisciplinary learning for Sustainable Development Education. In the past three years (2018 to 2020), a total of 43 cases have been completed, and more than 200 teachers, students, and industry professionals have participated in the achievement transformation. It not only improved the professional competence and SDGs literacy of participating students, but also enhanced the university's sense of social responsibility and in-depth research on SDGs.
In 2019, the Workshop of International Green University Interdisciplinary Achievement Outcomes was established, in which students and owners who accepted the fruits of the students' work were present, with the principal and teachers of the university in the front row. In that year, Yanping Township entered into an industry-academic cooperation agreement with the university, and nine business entities (farms, B&Bs, social enterprises, etc.) in Yanping Township participated in the achievement transformation.
On July 23, 2021, we changed to an online workshop (IGUIAO 2021 https://iguiao2021.nttu.edu.tw) and had the opportunity to establish a partnerships with FEU Institute of Technology (FEU Tech), Philippines. A total of 28 works were proposed in IGUIAO 2021. Of the 28 works, 21 were from NTTU, and the remaining 7 from FEU Tech. The themes of the works are related to SDGs, mainly including: 3 affordable clean energy, 2 sustainable cities and communities, 4 good health and well-being, 5 sustainable and ecologically friendly agriculture, 7 tribal circular economy ecosystems, and , and 7 quality education for sustainable development.
